The sad girl who couldn't see

Sarah was one of the most beautiful girls.
She had sparkly eyes and long brown curls.

But Sarah was very sad.
She couldn't see what beauty she had.

Infact she couldn't see at all.
She couldn't see the charm of Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall.

She never walked around on her own in the city.
No Sarah was full with self-pity.

And because she was so upset she couldn't hear.
Only her weeping and perhaps a falling tear.

She had a runny nose of all her crying, so she couldn't smell.
That could get her into trouble I can tell.

Because she got so numb of being angry and sad, she couldn't feel.
And at some point Sarah began to think she wasn't even real.

She didn't live her life like she wanted to.
But Sarah didn't know how to, no she didn't have a clue.

Sarah began to fade away into nowhere.
Like she never existed, like she never was there.

She panicked but then on her shoulder she felt a hand.
Sarah was so overwhelmed she couldn't understand.

Then she felt a tissue on her face and Sarah blew her nose.
She smelt the perfume from her mother, which meant she was very close.

A singing voice came through and calmed her a bit.
It was pleasant to hear, Sarah had to admit.

At last, Sarah didn't fade away into nothing.
And at some point she could even see a glint of Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring.

Sarah could finally see, and enjoy her life like she had in mind.
She learned how to be happy, because she wouldn't forget the time, when Sarah was blind.
